2013 – Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Alloway

The annual Gathering was held on Saturday 7th September at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum at Alloway near Ayr.

The former Visitor Centre and Museum have recently been replaced by a magnificent new state of the art museum housing the world’s biggest and best Burns collection.

Nearby is the ‘Auld Clay Biggin‘; the cottage in which he was born on the 25th January 1759 and spent the first seven years of his life. There is a garden created in his honour, the Burns Monument, Poet’s Path, the Auld Kirk and the famous Brig o’ Doon.

The museum kindly set aside a room for our exclusive use where we could gather and have lunch and tea together.

If any attending members would like to share their photographs of the day, let us know your details via the Contacts page.
